Reanimation is one of the miracles displayed the gods of the Pantheon. It seems to be associated with underworld/death gods, with Gentle Annie being among the the first to perform it.
She is capable of bringing back people from near-death. According to her, those people are not dead but rather "sleeping" and this ability can "wake them". She used it to bring back a police officer.[1] This miracle can also be used on inanimate objects, restoring them if they are broken, as she did to Owly after Baal destroyed it by teleporting through it via electricity.[2] She also states that she could fix Woden's cage even though it was left in poor conditions after her escape.[3]
So far, the criteria used to define what is sleeping and what is truly dead is unknown, but Annie could not bring back Lucifer, stating she was dead for sure,[4] although, unknown to them, Ananke had collected her head for the Ritual and so Lucifer wasn't truly dead, and later, she could fix a completely destroyed Owly.[2] After Badb killed Nergal in a fight, the Morrigan, through Gentle Annie, was capable of bringing him back to life, completely restoring his mutilated body, at the cost of her own life.[5]
Later it was revealed that this power itself is exclusive only to Underworld Gods, as seen where Nergal managed to reanimate Dionysus and heal his brain damage, bringing him back at the cost of his own life as well. Later during Dionysus's attempts to revive him, it was stated that this power will only work for another underworld god. Lucifer is unsure if she could bring him back, and unwilling to try.
