Morpheus is the Greek Oneiroi God of dreams, sleep and the subconscious, and is one of the gods of the Recurrence. He is known to have appeared in the 1830s Recurrence. He died upon witnessing a mysterious vision, which he attempted to explain to Lucifer (who had come to deliver opium) in a state of panic. MythologyEdit Morpheus is based on the Greek god of dreams. TriviaEdit Morpheus is based on Samuel Taylor Coleridge. The events surrounding Morpheus's death are inspired by Coleridge's claims that a caller from Porlock caused him to forget the end of "Kubla Khan".
